

The sequel retains a bit of this charm but most of the characters are not memorable at all, and the world itself is boring and a slog to navigate. There are horror elements in a fantasy setting and the main character (a detective) uses a gun as well as a fantasy weapon against enemies. There is what can be considered (unrealistic) violence against enemies, be it fantasy creatures or sometimes animals. The developers describe the content like this: Deadly Premonition 2 is for the larger part an investigative adventure title – there are also action parts interspersed.
